Dr. Zlatko Piskulich
Zlatko Piskulich, MD, a
board-certified ophthalmologist,
specializes in the diagnosis and
treatment of medical diseases of the
macula, retina, and vitreous. Areas
of expertise include age-related
macular degeneration, diabetic
retinopathy, inherited retinal
dystrophies, and diseases of the
peripheral retina and vitreous. He is
experienced in all forms of retinal
laser surgery including
photodynamic therapy, laser
photocoagulation, and intravitreal
injections. Zlatko is involved in a
variety of research activities,
including clinical trials for diabetic
retinopathy and macular
degeneration. He is involved in the
teaching of medical students,
residents, and fellows.
Dr. Claudio Orlich
Dr. Claudio Orlich is a LASIK Specialist and Cornea
Subspecialist. He did his residence in ophthalmology at
the “Hospital Dr. Luis Sánchez Bulnes” of the
“Asociación Para Evitar la Ceguera en México”
(APEC), one of the most important ophthalmic
hospitals in Latin America. After the residence program
Dr. Orlich did a fellow ship in Cornea in the
Department of this institution.
Dr. Orlich works at the National Children’s Hospital,
the Ophthalmic Clinic of the Social Security of Costa
Rica and elso has his private practice Clinic. Dr. Orlich
is a member of the Ophthalmic Society of Costa Rica,
the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the
American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery
(ASCRS) and other important medical associations.
